An Academic Award for Excellence will be given to the Grade Eleven student with the highest average in the Mock Examinations.

Criteria For Graduation Certificate

NB. Students who do not sit their eight (8) CXC-CSEC (including Mathematics and English) at 11th Grade will not qualify for a Certificate of Distinction but a School Leaving Certificate. They will also not qualify for any Ardenne High School or National CXC - CSEC awards.

Admission to Sixth Form

Admission to Sixth Form will be based on both academic and non-academic criteria. Students will be assessed in the following areas:

To be considered for admission to Grade 12, applicants must pass at least 6 subjects at the CSEC General Proficiency Level or GCE Ordinary Level Examinations or a combination of the two. At the CSEC Level, students must obtain at least 4 subjects with grade 1 and at the GCE, O’Level, students must obtain at least 4, A’s.

NOTE: Students MUST achieve a grade 1 or 2 in the subject that they wish to pursue in 12th Grade as well as a grade 1 or 2 in English Language and Mathematics.

Procedure For Submission Of Application Forms

  1. Complete the application form online then take the confirmation page along with an application fee of $4000.00 (non-refundable) to the “Necessities” (Book Shop) at Ardenne High School. The final date for submission of application forms will be provided at a later time.

    Please note that no application form will be accepted / processed without the application fee being paid and the and the confirmation page handed in.

  2. Students’ files will be reviewed for the non-academic aspect of the entry requirement.

  3. Academic assessment will be done once the CSEC results are published.

  4. Successful applicants will be notified via email.

  5. An acceptance list of those students who have fulfilled all the matriculation requirements and whose applications have been approved will be posted on the Notice Board by the Administrative Building.

  6. Those students to be interviewed will be contacted and given an appointment. (Students are interviewed for a number of reasons – these include- assistance with subject selection and career guidance).

These fees MUST be paid before the student is allowed to attend classes.

NOTE: THE AMOUNT PAID BY THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE ABOVE.

Valedictory Service

All Grade Eleven students are invited to the Valedictory and Prizegiving Service. However, the school reserves the right to exclude any student whose conduct does not represent the standards of Ardenne High School.

The service will take place on the first Sunday in July commencing at 5:00 p.m. on the school’s grounds.
The dress for the Valedictory Service is an academic gown and mortarboard.
The girls will wear their school uniform under the gown along with black shoes.
The boys will wear long sleeve white shirts with khaki pants under the gown, along with black or brown shoes.
